The Puzzle That Nearly Broke the Ancient Universe

Ancient astronomers assumed the Earth sat motionless at the center of everything, with the planets circling around it. When Is Mercury Retrograde in 2026?

Mercury slips into apparent retrograde three times in 2026. The first ran from February 26 to March 20, and the second from June 29 to July 23. Both of those have already passed. The final retrograde of the year arrives from October 24 to November 13. So as things stand right now, in the second half of August, Mercury is moving forward as normal, and if this week has felt chaotic, you’ll have to find something other than the sky to blame.
